Assigned Content is great for applying one type of content, such as headers, footers, menus, and other desired sections, to multiple pages. These can be applied at either the very top-level of All Pages or just put on individual pages.
To do this, follow the steps below:
How to Assign Content:
- On the "Content Explorer" side, choose the item(s) you wish to use as a default item to show on your site page(s).
- Once you have found the item(s) you would like to assign, simply drag and drop them onto the folder (if multiple pages are inside), or onto the page directly
- This will bring up the Site Plan Assignment window, and when you have finished choosing the desired Position and View and View Classes (if applicable), then click "Save & Close".
Right click on the folder or page that you assigned the content to and choose the option "View Assigned Content".
Look for your content item and make sure it is there, preview your page(s) and voila!
Note: To edit any content items that are Assigned, find it in the "Content Explorer" side, right-click and choose "Edit". Save any changes that you make and it will automatically update on the "Site Plan" side. Refresh your page and it should show the updated content!
